Compliance Settings can occupy a unique position between a GPO, an Application Deployment, and a Package. Leveraging the detection and scripting logic, an admin can granularly obtain information - and just as granularly discontinue. Attendees will be able to determine if a Compliance Setting is an appropriate fit, and create reports to display the non-compliant values.

ConfigMgr's new Application model comes with many great new features, but also some tricky complexities when it comes to using them in Task Sequences. Although these challenges can trip up even the most experienced ConfigMgr professionals, Nash and Jason lead you through all the common (and even some exotic) considerations for both Applications and Software Updates. If it works on existing machines, there is no reason it shouldn't work in your task sequence. Attendees will understand how Applications and Software Updates work while the client is running an OSD Task Sequence. They will be able to use the CI/DCM Model, Content, Application, and Software Update logs to identify the common issues and then implement them.
