System Center Operations Manager is a powerful tool by itself, but that doesn't mean it needs to stand alone. In implementations where processes and products already provide business functionality SCOM can be leveraged to do much more, while requiring less overhead. In addition to going over the principals of integrating data into SCOM we will also go through a working implementation where a Configuration Management Database has been used to drive Operations Manager monitoring without requiring manual work for configuration changes and additions.
