Every systems manager gets questions from other teams and management about "how many" or "what is where". This session will get you started with building your own custom reports from scratch so those questions can always be answered with up to date information. In this session, we will cover:

  • SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) vs Report Build (RB)

  • Creating a Project within BIDS

  • Using Shared Datasources

  • Call out all major Tools within the Toolbox

    • Text box

    • Table

    • Charts


  • Making it Pretty with headers and footers

  • Create a custom report from start to finish


Bonus: This is a great session for ConfigMgr Admins to start building their own reports, instead of editing existing reports.
